Star Actuarial, on behalf of a major global reinsurer, is currently representing a significant career opportunity for a qualified GI actuary to be responsible for a wide range of reserving, reporting to the VP, Head of Bermuda Reserving. 

Having an active role in the ongoing development of the reserving processes, you will work closely with members of the Finance, Claims, Risk and Underwriting teams. 

You will also determine the theoretical loss ratios and update, as needed, reporting and payout patterns by Reserving Class while determining the Solvency II Technical Provisions and update assumptions as required and in-line with guidance updates.

In addition, you will contribute to the ongoing development of the capital model, in particular, regarding the reserve risk and risk margin.

Reinsurance experience is desirable, as is Knowledge of ResQ and SQL.
